Last Tuesday, March 30th the Riverhead area was devastated by a tremendous storm. The storm produced more than 8 inches of rain in a short period. Tyre Lodge No. 91 was flooded, and many Brothers are in danger of lossing there homes. The Worshipful Master of Tyre, more than 8 days
later suffers with more than 5 foot of water in his home. Many brothers are in the same condition.
The local government as well as FEMA are assessing the damage. Red cross assisted in temporary housing as well as food and clothes. The MWPHGL Of NY has reached out to the Fourth District
by donating to Tyre Lodge as well as the Fourth District Brothers. Most homes in these location
are not eligible for flood insurance and they are left with very little assistance.
